Fitting Your Turbocharger Adapter
Assembling parts into correct order
The turbocharger adapter must be assembled in the correct order for the unit to work properly.
The quick connect adapter top ring needs to be put over the turbo outlet flange, It is the first piece to go onto the turbo, the sealing assembly which comprises of two O-ring retention rings and an O-ring. The quick connect adapter is then slid over and retains all within the Quick connect adapter.
Note: Ensure engine has cooled down before conducting any work.
Note: O-rings for the quick style clamp are supplied with the quick style clamp as well as weld flange.
Attaching Clamp
Consult the manufacture's' instructions for correct fitment. It should require O-rings on both Intercooler piping flange as well as turbo adapter flange. the collar is slid over both O rings and the clamshell clamp retains both.
Start engine and check for leaks
Congratulations, your Turbocharger Adapter is installed and ready for use. Double check all fittings, lines and mountings then proceed to start engine and check for leaks. No adjustment is required.
WARNING!
CAUTION! If boost leaks are present – switch off engine immediately and rectify leaks.
Troubleshooting
- Clamp leaking – Check fittings are tight and o-rings are present or not damaged.
- Clamp Blowing off - Ensure that top ring is correctly seated as well as manufactures clamps.
