IMPORTANT NOTES ON YOUR FUEL FILTERS
- Turbosmart accepts no responsibility whatsoever for incorrect installation of this product which is potentially hazardous and can cause serious engine damage or personal injury.
- The internal filter should be cleaned at regular fuel filter change intervals. Failure to clear filter of particulates may restrict fuel flow and change the regulated pressure.
- The internal filter should be kept in the same orientation after cleaning to minimise and left-over particles aren’t dislodged during normal cleaning operation.
- Ensure that all plumbing is appropriately secured.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Turbosmart recommends that your fuel filter is fitted by an appropriately qualified technician
- Turbosmart recommends that your fuel pressure is checked after fitment to ensure fuel pressure is satisfactory.
- Turbosmart recommends that the fuel pressure are monitored closely.
- Rebuild kits are available with replacement filters and O-rings, information is located in the datasheet.

FITTING YOUR FUEL FILTER
Locate fuel pressure feed line, determine mounting location, Take time to determine where you wish to mount the filter on the vehicle. It's recommended that fuel flows from the pump on the outside of the filter and passes into the inside before passing to the engine.

CAUTION!
Do not place the Fuel Filter near a significant heat source as this may lead to severe engine fires.
CAUTION!
Ensure to relieve fuel pressure before removing OEM Fuel Pressure Regulator
CAUTION!
If fuel leaks are present – switch off engine immediately and rectify leaks.
Servicing your Fuel Filter
The filter comes with a microglass filter to remove particles flowing to the engine, we'd recommend that the fuel filter be inspected regularly in particularly abnormal environments. However replacing every 10,000km or every 6,000 miles is recommended. When refitting filter cup a fuel safe silicone grease should be used on the O-ring to ensure smooth operation and exceptional sealing. Inspection of o-ring is recommended for splits or tears. Torquing to 20N/mm is recommended for the end caps and fuel filter cap.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
- FPR Leaking – Check fittings are tight and O-Rings are present or not damaged.
- Fuel Pressure is low – Fuel Filter Blockage
- FPR not holding base pressure – Check for blockages, leaks in the system and that fuel pumps are active.
- Failing the above, submit a technical request to [email protected] with information of your engine, fuel type and photos of installation
