This will give readings on how much back pressure is being generated to drive the turbine of the turbocharger. Apply thread lubricant and screw in clockwise until finger tight, then tighten further 1-2 turns for seal.</span></span></p><p><br></p><p><img src="https://attachments.gorgias.help/ZPB9rx1MeRMxWVa3/hc/MNVgn6mGBR71j8BO/2025081823-1dcb67c0-0849-445e-9459-56d7fa6df2d5-a51fe0f0-9fef-44a6-b3c7-2fb9b1a7a522.png" style="width: 802px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"></p><h3 style="line-height: normal;" id><br></h3><h3 style="line-height: normal;" id="isPasted"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="color: black;">Exhaust Gas Pressure Feed Plumbing</span></strong></span></h3><p>Routing the exhaust gas to the sensor can be done a couple of ways, it&apos;s good practice to ensure that sufficient length is used and a material such as a hard line allow for good thermal conductivity to take hot exhaust gas temperature away from the gas and allow the temperature to cool enough that a sensor can last without an earlier than expected failure.&#xA0;</p><p>An example below shows exhaust gas been run through a coiled hard line of length of at least half a meter allowing for sufficient cooling and remote mounting of the sensor.&#xA0;</p><p>Generally speaking cooling a 1200 degC down with Stainless Steel line will require a minimum of 300mm of coiled hose. To correctly dissipate the exhaust gas temperature. &#xA0;</p><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="color: black;"><img src="https://attachments.gorgias.help/ZPB9rx1MeRMxWVa3/hc/MNVgn6mGBR71j8BO/2025081900-714b020f-c2a1-42d2-a04a-2a960ff784f1-f8922641-c489-4629-865a-577ea7b9fa00.png" style="width: 926px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"></span></strong></span><br></p><h3 id="start-engine-and-check-for-leaks"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Start engine and check for leaks</span></h3><p>&#xA0;Congratulations, your &#xA0;Exhaust Manifold Pressure Dampener is installed and ready for use. Double check all fittings, lines and mountings then proceed to start engine and check for leaks. No adjustment is required.</p><p><strong>WARNING!</strong></p><p><strong>CAUTION! If exhaust leaks are present &#x2013; switch off engine immediately and rectify leaks.</strong></p><p>&#xA0;</p><p><strong>Filter Internal Maintenance&#xA0;</strong></p><p>The filter can be cleaned out as required. To do this, we need two non-marking 9/16&#x201D; Spanners to disassemble with anticlockwise rotation. The Filter can then be accessed for cleaning. Use a combination of compressed air and elastomer safe degreasers spraying through from sensor side to dislodge particles on the inlet side of the filter.</p><p>The Dampener must be torqued to <strong>12Nm (8.8.lb.ft.)</strong></p><p>The filter should be refitted in the same orientation.
